The Hammerhead was born in 1998 and continues to be the all-round performance nose riding longboard. The outline features a wider 18 1/2” nose for longer nose riding, and a pulled in hip tail, for smooth rail-to-rail transitions.
The nose concave runs 2/3 back towards the tail, with a smooth rocker running into a Vee double concave. The double concave continues to the tail that creates speed and drive. The flatter section through the centre is for paddle-power and stability. The centre two steps forward and the parallel template, with flatter rocker, and rail tucked bevels makes clean running lines and easy walking stability, making clean trimming for every level of surfing skill. Plenty of trim-speed to make fast sections with ease.
The Hammmerhead performs best in waves 1 – 6 feet beach and point breaks. If you want a longboard that nose rides great and you can still smack the lip this is the one in the Vern Jackson range.
